As the country battles a surge in humidity, meteorologist Fahad Al-Otaibi has warned that conditions could become "exhausting" in the coming days, with humidity levels potentially surpassing 90%. He also noted the possibility of fog formation during this period. However, a brief relief is expected by Friday when humidity levels may drop, followed by a sharp increase in temperatures.
Meanwhile, weather and environmental expert Issa Ramadan echoed these concerns, stating that temperatures could exceed 50°C next week as relative humidity declines. He highlighted the recurring issue of dried and dying trees each summer, caused by insufficient irrigation and care.
Ramadan urged authorities and volunteers to take proactive steps in watering trees during these extremely hot and dry conditions. He emphasized that expanding agricultural efforts is one of the best long-term solutions to reduce the impact of soaring temperatures.
