Kuwait cuts power to two bachelor properties in Hawalli

Kuwait Municipality has disconnected electricity to two bachelor housing properties in Hawalli Governorate during a recent enforcement campaign. The action was carried out by the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in the Rumaithiya and Salwa areas as part of ongoing efforts to regulate residential violations.

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality has confirmed that field visits continue according to a pre-established schedule developed in coordination with relevant government agencies. These operations involve collaboration with entities including the Ministry of Electricity and Ministry of Interior to ensure compliance with housing regulations.

The municipality's campaign specifically targets properties violating Kuwait's bachelor housing regulations, which restrict unmarried foreign workers to designated residential areas. These measures form part of broader efforts to maintain neighborhood standards and enforce zoning laws across Kuwait's residential communities.

Municipal authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing these coordinated enforcement actions through regularly scheduled inspections. The power disconnections demonstrate the municipality's ongoing efforts to address unauthorized bachelor accommodations that violate established housing policies and regulations.
