Kuwait enters "Al-Zubra" season with temperature drops and dust storm chances

Kuwait has entered the "Al-Zubra" season, the third mansion of the Suhail season marking autumn's beginning, according to the Al-Ajari Scientific Center. The 13-day astronomical period starting September 20 brings noticeable temperature changes with continued morning humidity, featuring moderate nighttime temperatures and mild early mornings followed by hot, humid midday conditions.

The center confirmed the autumnal equinox will occur on September 22 when the sun aligns perpendicular to the equator. A significant milestone arrives on September 28—the ninth day of Al-Zubra—when day and night each last exactly 12 hours before nights begin lengthening. During the latter part of this period, temperature fluctuations become more pronounced with chances of sand and dust storms when winds activate, creating yellowish skies characteristic of the "Safri" period that also marks increased migratory bird activity.

This seasonal transition signals winter's approach, bringing actual weather changes particularly noticeable during nights and dawn, with significant humidity persistence and early morning fog formation across the region.
