Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has announced it will begin a comprehensive program of periodic maintenance on the electrical system starting tomorrow. The work will cover all components, from power generation units and transmission networks to local transformer stations, as part of its annual plan to improve system efficiency and reliability while minimizing emergency breakdowns.
The ministry's official spokesperson, Engineer Fatima Hayat, explained that some of these essential maintenance tasks will require temporary, scheduled power outages in specific areas. The work is being carried out according to a pre-organized program designed to complete the tasks as quickly as possible, with timetables being announced to the public.
To keep residents informed, the Ministry will send direct notifications to affected customers through the "Sahl" government application. Citizens and residents can also follow the progress and status of the maintenance work through direct links on the Ministry's official social media accounts. Hayat concluded by thanking the public for their understanding and cooperation, emphasizing that these efforts are crucial for developing the network and improving service quality.
