Kuwait : International Airport (KIA) health and security authorities are taking all precautionary measures to ensure that all inbound passengers arriving at the airport are free of the COVID-19 virus or any of its variants.

The increased vigilance is in response to instructions issued by the Council of Ministers during its extraordinary meeting last Monday to take all necessary steps to reduce the risk of the coronavirus or its mutant forms resurfacing in the country.Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, the Director of the Ahmadi Health District, said that while the situation in the country is comforting and there are no plans to impose curfews or travel bans at this time, people should nonetheless follow all precautionary measures recommended by the health authorities. He went on to say that increased vigilance and preventive measures were also needed at the country's land border crossings, as well as at sea and air ports.
