Mum's detention has been prolonged in connection with her daughter's murder

KUWAIT CITY : The Sentences Renewal Judge has ordered the mother accused of killing her daughter to remain in custody for the third time in a row.

The victim's decaying body was discovered in the toilet of the family's Salmiya residence five years after the daughter was 'supposedly' slain by the mother, according to court documents.

The woman was apprehended after her son raced to a police station in Salmiya after a furious fight with his mother, alleging that she had murdered his sister in 2016 and kept the body in their house's bathroom.


The mother was said to have shut herself inside the room with the adjacent bathroom until she was discovered dead.
