Since 'liberation,' 461,000 expats have been deported

KUWAIT CITY : From Kuwait's liberation in February 1991 to the end of November 2021, the country has deported 461,000 expatriates of various nationalities, according to the Al-Jarida daily.

According to the daily, which cited well-informed security sources, the statistics issued by the Correctional Institutions Sector/Department of Deportation and Temporary Detention Affairs show that these deportees include all violators found guilty by the court of committing crimes or misdemeanours that required deportation from the country after serving their sentences.

They also included violators of residence and labour laws, as well as other acts that necessitate administrative deportation from the country.
