Kuwait City: The Kuwait Municipality has been charged by the Council of Ministers with following up on and completing all necessary measures to provide a sufficient number of suitable sites for housing workers, or to establish labour cities that serve each of the areas (urban and industrial) for the benefit of the Management of State Property Department of the Ministry of Finance to be auctioned to the private sector provided that it is built within a specified period of time in accordance with the texts. According to a letter issued by the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers regarding the labour cities project in Kuwait, the Council was briefed on the recommendations of the Public Services Committee, as well as the speech of the Minister of Oil containing the oil sector's vision, which states that there is no need to establish labour cities for oil sector contractors' employees, due to the imminent completion of the current capital projects and the scarcity of land.
