KUWAIT UNIVERSITY'S RANKING DECREASES IN THE QA UNIVERSITY INDEX

Kuwait City: Kuwait University's continuous fall in the QS World University Index rankings continued, with the university dropping from 801 – 1000 in 2021 to 1001 – 1200 in 2022. Given the severe consequences of the higher education sector's deterioration, this suggests a deep crisis that requires the involved authorities to act promptly.


Kuwait University was ranked 500-700 in the globe in 2012. It remained at this level until 2019, when it dropped to the 801-1000 range. This continued until 2021, when it dropped to the lowest level in ten years, reaching 1001-1200 in this year's QS World University Ranking Index classification.
