KUWAITIS VOTE; 7,95,920 KUWAITIS ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti voters, both men and women, will go to the polls on Thursday in five electoral constituencies to vote for members of the National Assembly for the 17th legislative term beginning in 2022. Voters will bear responsibility for reshaping the political landscape and selecting the best candidates to serve them and the nation. Voters would recall His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-speech, Sabah's delivered on his behalf by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emphasising the importance of choosing the strong, trustworthy, and faithful in Almighty Allah and then his country, and who prioritises Kuwait and its people. 


Kuwaitis will choose 50 members to represent them in Parliament from among the 305 candidates running in the National Assembly elections, with 795,920 eligible voters. The voting period will last from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time, after which the heads of the electoral committees will announce the end of the voting period and the start of counting, followed by the announcement of the official results. 

The First Constituency will have 48 candidates, with 100,185 eligible voters. In the Second Constituency, 48 candidates will compete for the votes of 90,478 eligible voters.
Out of 138,364 eligible voters in the Third Constituency, 47 candidates are competing for votes. In the Fourth Constituency, 80 candidates will compete for the votes of 208,971 voters.

Finally, in the Fifth Constituency, 82 candidates will compete for votes from 257,913 voters. In terms of eligibility, every Kuwaiti who has reached the age of 21 on polling day after being automatically registered in the Voters' list must bring his or her citizenship certificate and civil identification to the polling station.
