21 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES IN ROAD ACCIDENTS IN KUWAIT LAST MONTH

Kuwait City: Major Abdullah Buhasan, Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department Officer of the General Traffic Department said that 21 people lost their lives in road accidents in October. Meanwhile, under the direct supervision of Director General of Traffic, Major General Yousef Al Khadda, and Assistant Director General of Planning and Research Affairs, Brigadier Khalid Mahmood, the Planning and Research Division of the Traffic Department conducted security checks on companies that provide car rentals, delivery bikes and mobile taxis.


518 violations of the law have been found in the inspection. Two offices for selling and renting cars were closed. The computer system was breached and five other offices were seized. The inspection came after the Coordination and Follow-up Department received several reports from citizens and residents that they were being cheated by vehicle purchase and rental companies.
