Kuwait sets Guinness record for largest flag

Kuwait City, Feb 27: By unfurling the largest flag on Saturday at the Seventh Hole Cave in the Salmah Plateau in Oman, Kuwait broke a previous Guinness World Record. The KFlag was a volunteer work coincided with the festivities of Kuwait's national holidays. Guinness World Records arbiter Al-Waleed Osman awarded it a certificate.

The KFlag team's leader, Fu'ad Qabazard, said that this record showcases the team's determination to immortalize the name of the homeland and national days. The 2,773 square meter flag was unfurled inside the cave as a sign of solidarity and brotherly ties between the Oman and Kuwait.
The 16-member team took six months to finish this voluntary project, he said.
