'Kuwait Green Wall' to fight back against sand wind

Kuwait City, March 6: Dr. Rafat Misak, a member of the Kuwait Society for Protection of Environment and Executive Director of Kuwait Vision Company for managing environmental projects, said that sand and dust winds cannot be controlled with currently available equipment and systems.However, changes in nature can also help to understand the risks and mitigate the intensity of storms.

Kuwait Green Wall, a project aims to plant trees, is one of the plans that can mitigate the severity of such storms. As the first phase of this, trees were planted in July 2021. The vision of the project is to work for green cover, create awareness in the community and spread environmental culture, he added.
