32% of migrant workers in Kuwait are domestic workers

Kuwait City, March 6: The data released by the Public Authority for Civil Information shows that the 32% of migrant workers are domestic workers. There are 695,173 domestic workers out of more than two million expatriates. There are 298,295 workers in the manufacturing sector. About 381,368 workers are employed in the aggregate, retail trade, and mechanics sectors.

137,641 expatriates are employed in real estate activities and business services. The figures also show that about 114,000 people are serving in public departments, defense and social security in the government sector. The number of non-Kuwaiti workers in manufacturing industries is 121,958.
