Qatar Unveils March Fuel Prices: Premium Petrol Sees a Hike

  • 28/02/2025

Qatar has announced its fuel price adjustments for March, with a slight increase in premium-grade petrol while the rates for super-grade petrol and diesel remain steady. According to the latest revision, premium petrol will now cost 2.05 Qatari riyals per liter, marking a small rise from the February rate of 2 riyals. Meanwhile, super-grade petrol continues at 2.10 riyals per liter, and diesel retains its February price of 2.05 riyals per liter.

The updated fuel prices were released by Qatar Energy, the state-owned entity responsible for determining fuel costs. These monthly price revisions are aligned with global oil market fluctuations and have been in place since September 2017. The adjustments ensure that domestic fuel pricing reflects international trends, allowing consumers and businesses to adapt accordingly.

Despite the increase in premium petrol prices, the stable rates for super-grade petrol and diesel offer some relief for motorists and industries dependent on fuel. The decision aligns with Qatar’s approach of maintaining a balance between global market trends and domestic affordability.
