Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of two individuals — a doctor and an airline captain — for possessing unlicensed ammunition and a large quantity of alcohol. The operation was conducted by the General Department of Weapons Investigations as part of its ongoing efforts to combat illegal weapons and related criminal activities.

The case began when security personnel at Kuwait International Airport apprehended the doctor after discovering 64 bullets concealed in his luggage. During initial questioning, he admitted to owning the ammunition and revealed that he had received it from a colleague — the second accused, an airline captain.

Following this lead, authorities arrested the pilot at the same airport. Upon interrogation, he confirmed the doctor's statements. The Public Prosecution then authorized a search of his residence and vehicle.

The search uncovered 500 additional unlicensed bullets. Investigators also searched another property linked to the pilot in the Al-Shaab Al-Bahri area, where they found 87 bottles of alcoholic beverages along with tools and materials used in alcohol production.

The accused confessed to both possessing the ammunition and manufacturing alcohol at home, allegedly using materials ordered from online platforms.

Both suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
