In a shocking incident, two doctors at the Sabah Al-Salem North Center in Kuwait were attacked by an unknown assailant after they refused to grant medical leave to a man beyond official working hours. The attack took place late at night in the clinic's parking lot, where the perpetrator struck them with a wheel wrench. One of the doctors suffered multiple injuries, including a broken hand.
Kuwait’s Public Prosecution has launched an investigation into the incident. The attacker fled the scene, and authorities are working to apprehend him. Attorney Elaf Al-Saleh, representing both the Kuwait Medical Association and the victims, has filed a formal complaint. One of the injured doctors has already given testimony, while the other will do so after treatment at Al-Razi Orthopedic Hospital.
Al-Saleh condemned the attack as a cowardly and criminal act, emphasizing that it is not just an attack on individuals but a direct threat to the dignity and safety of the entire healthcare sector. She stressed that such actions violate the principles of humanity and professionalism in any civilized society.
The authorities have been praised for their swift response, and efforts are ongoing to ensure justice is served.
