NURSING RECRUITMENT TO KUWAIT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED

Kuwait City: The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA) has suspended the contractual recruitment of nurses to Kuwait. Earlier, the embassy intervened and froze the permission given by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in Kuwait. Two companies were recruited under the Ministry of Health. Recruitment companies did not submit enough documents, which led to a number of complaints.


The complaints were received by the embassy while the recruitment process was in full swing. Muraleedharan also held discussions with senior officials in a video conference. 

The two companies had sought permission from the embassy to reduce the salaries of nurses, and the recruitment ban was imposed this week ahead of recruitment in several parts of India.
