SMALL EARTHQUAKE HITS KUWAIT

Kuwait City: An earthquake shook various parts of Kuwait on Saturday morning, locals said. The quake struck at 2.16 am local time. Kuwait has experienced a series of earthquakes in western Iran.


The quake, measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, was reported west of Iran by the Kuwait National Seismological Network of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.  

The epicenter was reported at 02:16:28 GMT, 290 km south of Kuwait City, at a depth of 10 km. No injuries or damage were reported.
