EMPLOYEES OF MINISTRY OF HYDROPOWER WENT ON STRIKE DEMANDING VARIOUS THINGS

Kuwait City: In Kuwait, employees of the Ministry of Hydropower went on strike. Employees staged a sit-in protest in front of the ministry headquarters this morning demanding various things. 


Risk allowance for high risk employees is just 35 dinars.The strike demanded that it be renewed from time to time, distributed in a timely manner and that various allowances of employees be disbursed immediately. 

Mahmoud al-Misbah, a member of the organizing committee, said reports from the Environmental Public Authority showed that the sites had high levels of pollution. 

The leaders of the strike committee alleged that the ministry was delaying in recognizing the rights of the workers despite a lot of efforts on the part of the workers, as well as that the demands were being ignored despite the high quality of Kuwait's water production.
