INDIAN AMBASSADOR MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF TOURISM SECTOR IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sibi George met with Stakeholders in the tourism sector in Kuwait. The Ambassador addressed the tour operators, agents and travel planners. He explained about the introduction of tourist visas to India. 


He highlighted the tourism potential of India. The Ambassador invited Kuwaiti citizens to visit India. There was a brief presentation on tourism destinations in Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Goa. 

India has announced that tourism visas will be issued to foreigners traveling on charter flights to India from October 15. Tourist visas will be issued to those traveling on other flights from November 15. 

In 2019, 10.93 million foreign tourists visited India. This is an increase of 3.4 percent over 2018. India re-opens window for foreign tourists after Covid crisis.
