DEPORTATION CENTERS FULL, KUWAIT SUSPENS SECURITY CHECKS FOR VIOLATORS

Kuwait City: The Interior Ministry has suspended security checks to find residency and labor law violators and absconders. The ministry did not say how long this would take.


The decision to suspend security campaigns was prompted by overcrowding in deportation prisons and limited air services to deport them. The decision was taken taking into account the health situation in the country. This is to prevent  covid spread among the prisoners.

Three days ago, verbal instructions were given to various areas to stop the inspections. Several people have been arrested in the last few days during the security campaign. With this, deportation is a prison-filled situation.
