SUICIDE ATTEMPT AGAIN AT JABIR BRIDGE, SECURITY FORCES RESCUE EXPATRIATE

Kuwait City: Firefighters and ambulances rescued an Egyptian man who tried to commit suicide by jumping into the sea from the Jaber Bridge on Tuesday evening. 


The taxi driver told the Interior Ministry's call center that the Egyptian, who arrived at the Jabir Bridge in a taxi car, was asked to stop at the bridge and then jumped out of the vehicle and into the sea.

Security and firefighters and a medical emergency team arrived at the scene and found the Egyptian after a long search. He was rushed to hospital with several injuries.  

A security source said the home ministry had decided to deport the expatriate after the end of his treatment period. A few days ago, a young European woman committed suicide by jumping off the Jabir Bridge.
