Kuwait City: Ahmed Al Mousa, Director General of the Public Authority, has been suspended over a dispute over the residence permit of a person over 60 years of age. He has been suspended for three months. In September 2020, the Human Resources Authority (HRA) ordered that work permits not be renewed after the age of 60 for foreigners with only a secondary school education or below. The Fatwa and Legislation Committee on Monday revoked the decision not to renew the work visas of those above 60 years of age and those with secondary education or below.
