MINISTRY OF POWER SAYS THAT CAMPAIGN TO INSTALL SMART METERS IS PROGRESSING IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Power has announced that the campaign to install smart meters in the country is in progress. The project, which started last Sunday, has so far installed 3,400 smart meters. 


An invoice will be issued to the building owner prior to the replacement of new meters. Officials hope that the project will help reduce power misuse and ensure timely availability of electricity charges. The project is initially being implemented in the Salmiya region. The smart meter is being installed as part of the complete digitization of power supply and water supply.
