DRIVING LICENSE AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION DOCUMENT TO BE DIGITIZED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Traffic Department plans to digitize driving licenses and vehicle registration documents according to the Kuwait Mobile ID application. Sources said that discussions are underway to either add the driving license and vehicle registration document to the Kuwait Mobile ID application or come up with a new application for it.


The great success of the Kuwait Mobile ID application has led to the digitization of documents in the traffic department. If this becomes a reality, citizens and tenants will be able to avoid traveling with licenses, vehicle documents and paper. Authorities are also planning to seek the help of technology to crack down on illegal activities. Plans are afoot to notify the offender as a text message.
