The FDA says the Pfizer Covid vaccine is effective for young children. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says Pfizer's Covid vaccine is 91 percent effective in preventing symptoms in children between the ages of 5 and 11.

Disease Control and Prevention will clarify more about who should receive FDA shots in the first week of November if they are approved. The vaccine helps prevent the development of infections in young children from the contagious Delta variant.

The FDA has confirmed data showing that two-dose shots are about 91 percent effective in preventing symptomatic infections in young children. The manufacturers, Fesser and Bio Ende, have previously stated that the vaccine is safe for use in children between the ages of five and 11, and that it has been shown to be immunosuppressive in clinical trials.

Clinical trials have shown that immunity in children is enhanced and there are no side effects. We look forward to extending the safety of Wax to children as well. Fesser CEO Albert Bourla said he hoped it could be implemented as soon as possible.
