BAHRAIN CLAIMS THAT WEARING MASK IS NOT REQUIRED

Bahrain: The National Health Council has announced that masks are not mandatory in Bahrain. Masks can be avoided in closed areas and open areas. But the elderly and the sick should wear masks. Masks are also mandatory for health workers. But Bahrain has made it clear that citizens can wear masks of their choice.

The new decision follows a review of new developments and information related to Covid. The low spread of Covid and the lifting of restrictions in other Gulf countries were crucial. The health committee added that Covid control efforts in Bahrain were effective and that people should not give up vigilance.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had said that the use of masks in public places was not mandatory. But the mask should be used in closed areas. There are relaxations in Makkah and Madinah. But the mask is mandatory in these places. Schools in Qatar have also been given concessions on the use of masks. Students aged 12 and under are allowed to avoid the mask. But students who want to use masks can continue to use them. The new proposal came into effect in public and private schools and kindergartens.
