Saudi Arabia announces free stopover visa for visitors

Saudi Arabia, Jan 31: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia introduced stopover transit visas on Monday 29 January, in cooperation with national airlines and in coordination with the appropriate authorities to make it easier for visitors to the Kingdom to arrive for any reason, with immediate effect, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency.

The new Saudi visa is free and grants its holder permission to stay in the country for four days. The visa is only good for three months after it is issued. The transit visa for stopover enables travelers who want to enter the Kingdom to perform Umrah, visit the Mosque of the Prophet, and go exploring and take part in tourist activities.
