International Conference  on Adolescent Health in Kuwait

City Clinic Group in association with Kuwait Medical  Association and Kuwait Pediatric Association is organizing the first ever International  Conference on Adolescent Health titled ‘Sense and Essence of Adolescence ‘on 25th,26th and 27th of October 2023. 

Day One (25th October,2023) of the conference is a CME (Continuing Medical Education) with 7 CME points aimed at General Practitioners and Pediatricians working in Kuwait. Registration is free. The venue of the CME will be Radisson Blu, Salmiya.

Topics Covered:
• Adolescent friendliness, consent, confidentiality
• Obesity, Eating Disorders
• Mental health of adolescence
• Substance Dependency and Consequences
• Post Pubertal Genito urinary Infections
• Non-accidental Injuries
• Adolescent Immunization etc.,


Day Two (26th October,2023) of the conference is in Indian Community School Salmiya for students, Teachers, Faculty and Parents. Around 400 participants are expected.


Day Three (27th October,2023) of the conference is for Teachers, Faculty and Parents. The  venue will be Carmel School Auditorium, Khaitan. Around 350 participants are expected.

• Smoking and Vaping
• PCOD 
• Eating Disorders
• Issues with Self Esteem and Communication Gap

Poster Competition are open to Schools on the following Topics:
• Adolescents and Nutrition
• Health Impact of fast food on Adolescent mind
• Importance of exercise in Adolescence
• The influence of WhatsApp forwards on adolescent minds

The speakers are Medical Experts from CMC Vellore, India and Kuwait with several years of expertise in the field of Adolescent Medicine. The panel has speakers specialized in Adolescent Medicine, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Infectious Diseases and a Senior Gynecologist

Dr. Reshmi Asst.Professor Adolescent Medicine (CMC Vellore)
Dr. Christina James Irwin Consultant Gynecologist, Ahmadi Hospital, KOC Kuwait (Trained from CMC Vellore)

The conference will be conducted for a full day with didactic lectures, panel discussions, question answer sessions and role plays. We have very eminent medical experts from CMC Vellore and Kuwait delivering the lectures and doing the Panel discussions. 


This conference is aimed at creating awareness on Adolescent Health, helping parents and teachers deal with adolescent issues in a  non-judgmental manner and for Adolescents to understand their freedom with boundaries so that together we can build a better tomorrow for these budding young adults.

Our Chief Guest for the Valedictory Function will be His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, on 27th October 2023 at 4pm
