First Indian Hajj Group of the Year Arrives in Madinah to a Warm Welcome

Madinah: The first group of foreign pilgrims for this year’s Hajj has officially arrived in Saudi Arabia, with Indian pilgrims landing early morning at the Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. Their arrival marks the beginning of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage season.

The pilgrims, who arrived on a flight from Hyderabad at 6 a.m., were welcomed warmly by officials and volunteers at the airport. Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, embassy officials, and members of the Hajj mission were present to greet them, alongside representatives from Malayali groups, including the Vikhaya team.

Volunteers from the Samastha Islamic Center (S.I.C.) Madinah Central Committee also took part in the reception, offering the pilgrims gift packages as a gesture of hospitality.

Notable figures present included Sulaiman Haji, Ashraf Tillankeri, Abubakar Darimi Thamarassery, Ashkar Vengara, Salim Morayur, Abdullah Darimi (Chairman of the Madinah Vikhaya Wing), Abdulmajeed Pavukonam (Working Convener), and Vikhaya Wing office bearers Shanij Edakkad, Wahid Chembilode, Muhammadali Pukayur, Muhsin Mohandas, Afzal Kodak, and Anwar Pattambi.

The Saudi National Committee for Hajj and Umrah, along with the Madinah Wing, has launched several projects this year to support and assist pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey.
