INVESTORS IN OMAN GETTING OPPURTUNITY TO GET LONG -TERM VISA

Muscat: Investors in Oman are getting the opportunity to get a long-term visa. The country's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a special investor residency program. Applications will be accepted through the ministry's e-investment services from October 3, the official news agency reported. 


Twenty-two expatriate investors from different countries have already received long-term visas. They received their visas on Wednesday. Details of the plan to issue long-term visas to investors were announced at the event.

Khalid al-Shuaibi, adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, said the new plan aims to increase investment and create jobs that will help the country grow economically in line with Oman's Vision 2040. The decision is to issue visas for five to 10 years to those interested in investing in Oman. It will be extended later.
