KUWAIT CITY:  During the end of the year and the beginning of the new year, Kuwait International Airport sees a high volume of passengers. This year, only a few departures were observed.

The holidays coincided with student exams at universities and schools, and Omicron was widely distributed in popular destinations.
Cabinet Ministers have also mandated a 10-day home quarantine or a PCR test that is negative within 72 hours of arrival in order to avoid an additional 7-day quarantine.

The administration issued a new circular to all airlines operating at Kuwait Airport in order to implement new procedures.
One of the main procedures was for departing Kuwaiti citizens who had been vaccinated with a second dose 9 months before, a booster dose was required prior to travel.
