Israeli airstrikes target Syria's key port of Latakia, according to state media

According to Syrian state media, an Israeli air raid hit Syria's Mediterranean port of Latakia for the second time this month, causing "significant material damage." "Around 3:21am (05:21 GMT), the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression with several missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean... targeting the container yard in Latakia port," a military source told SANA state news agency on Tuesday.

State television broadcast live footage of flames and smoke in the container terminal.
Later that day, the Syrian government's media office reported that emergency services had extinguished fires that had erupted in the port's container storage area.According to SANA, the missile attack also destroyed the facades of a hospital, some residential buildings, and shops.
