TRADE SHOWS IN KUWAIT UNDER SURVEILLANCE

Kuwait City: Emergency teams have been deployed to monitor all trade shows in the run-up to National Day, said Abdul Rahman Al Mutairi, director of the Department of Commerce's Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He added that the team also works on national holidays and receives customer complaints. The Ministry monitors all exhibitions in the country.


It checks whether the conditions for holding exhibitions are being complied with, whether the decisions issued by the Ministry are being implemented and whether there is a license. However, Abdul Rahman Al Mutairi said that 3651 inspections were carried out during this period. 20 stores were closed for violating the law. He added that the number of complaints received at ministry centers across the governorate was 1,639, including 19 violations of commercial licenses.
