THE INDIAN CONSULATE IN DUBAI HAS ISSUED A SPECIAL INSTRUCTION PROHIBITING THE USE OF ADVERTISING STICKERS TO PASSPORTS

Dubai: The Indian Consulate in Dubai has issued a special directive against the pasting of advertising stickers on passports. The announcement was made on Twitter. It has also demanded that no one be allowed to tamper with passports.

The consulate alleges that many travel agents treat their passports as advertisements for irresponsible behavior. They are distorting the cover of passports by affixing stickers of their agencies and companies.

This is contrary to the directives issued by the Government of India. Therefore, all Indian passport holders should always ensure that their passports are not tampered with by travel agents or anyone else.
