INDIAN EXPATRIATES IN THE UAE CELEBRATED THE REGIONAL NEW YEAR

Dubai :On Friday, Indian communities all around the UAE celebrated a variety of celebrations. Over the weekend, Indian expats celebrated the spring festivals of Bihu, Baisakhi, and Vishu in colourful and traditional ways.


Baisakhi, the Punjabi harvest festival, took place on April 14 and Vishu, the Malayalee New Year, on April 15. Parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Pondicherry also participate in the celebration.
