ABU DHABI HAS INSTALLED NEW SPEED SIGNS TO WARN DRIVERS OF FOG AND OTHER HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS

Abu Dhabi : The Abu Dhabi Police Department has installed illuminated e-panels and signage throughout the emirate to remind motorists of posted speed limits during inclement weather.


According to an Abu Dhabi Police statement, flashing 80 km/h speed limit signs will be activated during rain, strong winds, sandstorms, and heavy fog to warn motorists to keep a safe distance.

The police have urged motorists to obey speed limits during hazardous weather conditions, as well as to regularly monitor weather forecasts and take appropriate preventative measures.
