FIRE BREAKS OUT IN 30-STORY BUILDING IN ABU DHABI, INJURING 19 PEOPLE

Abu Dhabi: In a fire that broke out in Abu Dhabi on Friday, nineteen persons were injured. The injuries vary from minor to moderate, according to police, and the patients have been sent to hospitals for treatment.


A fire broke out at a 30-story structure in the Al Zahia neighbourhood, and inhabitants were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

According to a tweet from Abu Dhabi Police, personnel are still working to put out the fire in collaboration with Civil Defense authorities. Officials are also trying to figure out what caused the fire. The police have encouraged the public not to propagate rumors and to solely rely on official sources for information.
