ACCORDING TO DUBAI TRANSPORT AUTHORITY, E-SCOOTER VIOLATIONS ARE ON THE RISE

Dubai : The Road Transport Authority has said that the violations of e-scooter users are increasing in Dubai. The RTA pointed out that despite several warnings, violations are being repeated.


The RTA points out that parking of e-scooters is widespread in many places instead of the designated places. Another violation is failure to use reflectors and lights to identify vehicles at night. RTA has also strengthened awareness about rules to be followed by e-scooter riders, technical features of e-scooters like headlights, tail lights, steering wheel horn, front and rear reflectors, front and rear brakes and speed limit to be followed. 

Four authorized operators are allowed to rent e-scooters at 10 locations in Dubai. There are mostly e-scooter users here. Awareness programs are being intensified at these places.
