Kuwait City, Feb 9: Two Kuwaiti Air Force planes took off today, Thursday morning, heading to the Republic of Turkey, carrying 80 tons of relief materials, medical supplies and foodstuffs for those affected by the earthquake. The Ministry of Defense said in a press statement that this comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to establish an air bridge to send relief aid to Turkey, and by direct orders from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and the Acting Minister of Defense, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
