According to the most recent labor market data released by the Central Statistics Bureau, approximately 107,000 individuals, both citizens and expatriates, joined the workforce in Kuwait during the initial nine months of 2023. This influx of workers resulted in a total of around 2.897 million individuals employed in the country by the end of September the previous year, as opposed to 2.79 million by the conclusion of December 2022. This represents a growth rate of 3.8 percent.
At the conclusion of September 2023, the combined workforce in the nation consisted of 2.44 million expatriates employed in both the private and government sectors, marking a 4.2 percent rise from the 2.34 million recorded at the end of December 2022.
