The Ministry of Interior reiterated the necessity of taking the biometric fingerprint for all citizens and residents according to the previously announced deadline, which ends on September 30 for citizens and December 31 for expatriates. Major Shaheen Al-Gharib from the Ministry’s Security Media Department confirmed in a statement to Al-Akhbar channel that failure to perform a biometric fingerprint will result in stopping transactions in the Interior Ministry and all government agencies.
He pointed out that the centers designated for the biometric fingerprint in all governorates and complexes receive those wishing to take the fingerprint, indicating that the number of those who applied reached more than 2.5 million citizens, residents and Gulf Arabs.
