Airfares in the UAE have increased by 20-30% as the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays align with the spring break for schools. While business travel has slowed due to Ramadan, holiday bookings have surged, particularly for Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and CIS countries.

According to Raheesh Babu, COO of musafir.com, there has been a 30% increase in holiday bookings, with families favoring destinations like Switzerland, Italy, Thailand, and Georgia. Additionally, inbound travel has seen growth as UAE residents invite friends and family for Eid celebrations.

Reena Philip, General Manager of Airtravel Enterprises, highlighted that Europe remains a preferred destination, though securing a Schengen visa remains challenging due to limited appointments. Meanwhile, Japan continues to attract visitors due to the ongoing Expo, and countries like Vietnam, Bhutan, and Albania are also seeing a rise in interest.

With airlines increasing flights to meet demand, travelers are urged to book early to avoid last-minute fare hikes.
