Abu Dhabi: A grand and friendly Iftar party was held at the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the largest Hindu stone temple in West Asia. The cultural evening, called Omsiat, was organized on the 23rd day of Ramadan, bringing together around 200 attendees, including religious leaders, high-ranking officials, diplomats, and community representatives.

The event, presided over by the temple’s head, Brahmavihari Das Swami, aimed to foster mutual respect, dialogue, and understanding among different faith communities. The Iftar featured a vegetarian feast combining Indian and Arabic cuisine, in keeping with the temple's traditions.

BAPS Hindu Mandir, which celebrated its first anniversary last month, was inaugurated on February 14, 2023, by Mahant Swami Maharaj and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The temple, built on land generously provided by the UAE government, blends ancient architecture with modern scientific construction techniques.
