Bahrain Declares Three-Day Holiday for Eid al-Fitr; Five Days If Eid Falls on Sunday

Manama: Bahrain has declared a three-day public holiday for Eid al-Fitr, as announced by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Government ministries and agencies will be closed on the day of Eid and the two following days.

If Eid falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be extended to five days, incorporating the weekend holidays of Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, Qatar has announced Eid holidays for banks and financial institutions from Sunday, March 30, to Thursday, April 3, reopening on Sunday, April 6. In the UAE, the Eid holiday will be from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1, with an extended break if Ramadan lasts 30 days. Saudi Arabia has also announced holidays from March 29 to April 2, with expectations of an additional public holiday on April 3.
