Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning as temperatures continue to climb across the UAE. In a recent advisory, the NCM urged residents to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related issues.
The highest temperatures have been recorded in interior regions, particularly Al Ain, where highs have ranged from 38°C to 45°C in recent weeks. Tomorrow, April 29, is expected to bring mostly clear skies with occasional cloud cover and an average temperature above 44°C in coastal and inland regions.
Wind conditions are predicted to be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10–25 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 35 kmph, possibly causing dust clouds. Both the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm.
The NCM also reported that temperatures peaked at 45.9°C in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, with continued highs expected through the week. Increased nighttime humidity may cause foggy mornings in some areas.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during midday heat, wear protective clothing, and apply sunscreen. The public is encouraged to follow official weather updates and advisories to stay safe during this heatwave.
