The UAE government has announced that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be incorporated into the public school curriculum beginning with the upcoming academic year. The initiative, spanning all grades from kindergarten to Grade 12, was revealed by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum via social media platform X on Sunday.

He stated that the decision is part of the UAE's long-term strategic plan to equip future generations for a rapidly evolving world. According to Minister of Education Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, the AI curriculum will cover key areas such as data and algorithms, software applications, AI ethics, real-world AI use cases, and AI-driven innovation and project design.

In line with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), the UAE has already initiated programs to train teachers in AI and hire qualified AI educators across public schools. This initiative reflects the country’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into education and fostering a digitally empowered future generation.
