World’s First AI Chef ‘Chef Aiman’ to Debut at Dubai’s Kempinski Hotel

Dubai is introducing the world’s first AI-powered chef, Chef Aiman, who will officially begin his culinary journey this summer at WUHU restaurant, located opposite the iconic Burj Khalifa in the Kempinski Hotel. Known for its technological innovation, Dubai will be the first city where an artificial intelligence-based chef will operate in a real-life kitchen setting.

The AI chef has been developed by the hospitality group Gastronaut and engineered by the UMAI team. Chef Aiman is capable of recommending ingredients, preparing recipes, assisting in kitchen operations, and curating menus. The developers clarify that Aiman is not designed to replace human chefs but to assist and enhance their work — essentially acting as a "co-pilot" in the kitchen.

Chef Aiman will operate under strict protocols to ensure transparency, safety, and accountability, with all recipe executions tested using real-time feedback loops.

The WUHU restaurant, which is already open for pre-booking, will serve a unique blend of Japanese, Mexican, and Peruvian dishes. The AI chef’s precision and versatility are expected to offer a delightful and innovative dining experience. Chef Aiman also displays high efficiency beyond culinary tasks, making it a groundbreaking addition to Dubai’s vibrant food scene.
