Dubai Honors Over 200 Educators with Golden Visas

In a major initiative to honor the teaching profession, Dubai's Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, has directed the awarding of Golden Visas to over 200 outstanding educators. The move, first announced on World Teachers' Day, aims to recognize the critical role teachers play in shaping society and to position Dubai as a global hub for educational talent. From 435 applications in this first round, 223 educators from schools, universities, and early childhood centers were selected, representing a 51% success rate.

The selection process was designed to be fair and merit-based, intentionally ignoring demographic factors like nationality or gender. Instead, candidates were evaluated on their professional qualifications, achievements, and the positive impact they have made on students and the community. Special consideration was given to those with national or international awards, published research, or a demonstrably exceptional contribution to their institutions.

This initiative is a key part of Dubai's E33 Strategy, which focuses on empowering educators and making teaching a more attractive career. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that applications for the second round of Golden Visas are now open until December 15, 2025, encouraging more educators in Dubai to apply and be recognized for their dedication to building the city's future.
